After booking your design consultation appointment, MaryRose will expertly advise you on the ultimate look, silhouette and proportion for your figure, also taking into account your personality and your individual gown ideas. With an endless variety of beautiful fabrics and embellishments to choose from, the world is truely your oyster.....

When it is 4-5 months before your wedding, you will be measured and these measurements are the ones used in the construction of your pattern. This is the sampled in a plain cotton calico, which is called a 'toile'. This is basically a prototype of your design which enables you to see the shape of your gown. From the toile fit, your paper pattern is ammended if necessary and  your actual gown fabric is cut and the sampling commences.

Dresses vary in the amount of fits required, as this depends on design and embellishment. More importantly - no two female figures are the same, some dresses only require a maximum of three fits, others which are more complicated will have more fit appointments.

Your gown will be ready anywhere between a month to 2 weeks prior to your wedding.

To avoid dissapointment, we strongly advise brides who are interested in having their gown created by MaryRose, to get in touch at least a year in advance of the wedding day. With each dress being lovingly made to measure, only a certain amount can be made each year and are normally booked a minimum of a year in advance.
